The miracle is us

Some might say, “It’s a miracle we haven’t blown ourselves to bits yet.” Others could say, “It’s a miracle this planet and life as we know it even exists. Why do we care so little about it?”

Intention or lack of attention? No matter, whichever reason it’s a human cause endangering earth life. And most experts agree we are running out of time to make human changes that will rescue the life we know.

Ponder this FACT for a moment: In less than 100 years, every beloved animal character known to every child from every children’s book is predicted to go extinct. Be lost, be unknown. By 2121.

“Three Seconds”…in need of a Fourth Second.

This short video by Spencer Sharp and Prince Ea will take your breath away. It won First Prize at the Global Video Competition 2016 for Short Films. Emphasis on SHORT – it is only 4 minutes long. Who can’t spare 4 minutes right now???

Speaking of time, this is the meaning of the title:

Planet Earth is 4.5 billion years old. Mankind is about 140,00 years old. If you condense Earth’s lifespan to one full day of 24 hours, how long have we been here? We have been on this planet for only 3 seconds.

Turns out we have jammed a lot of good AND bad in just three seconds. And now we need another miracle. To come together for good. To DO GOOD. Because only together can we make it to the 4th second.

Please, for the love of Winnie-the-Pooh and Tigger, watch the video – just 4 minutes to gear up for the next second that could save all the bears in the Hundred Acre Wood.
