Resilience Carries Forward, No Matter What!

September kicked off with this question: What spiritual reservoir can you tap into in order to be resilient?

The anticipation of the anniversary of 9/11, and the life-lessons gained in the ensuing years, inspired our story-gathering this month. Truly, as you will see, “Bounceback…Recover…Dust Yourself Off…Double Down” doesn’t quite describe the power of resilience. What does matter, what gives meaning and strength, is a vision, a principle, a standard of right worth fighting on for. Regardless of the battle, when you are equipped with a vision you are enabled to persist with creativity, courage, integrity, truth. Resilience is armed with spiritual power.

So here we are at the end of an eventful month. Resilience, in the midst of the battle to change thought for the vision of a better way, is required now more than ever.

Resilience Tips from Hummingbirds, Seriously!
Hummingbirds must consume 2x their weight daily, feeding every 10 minutes. They remember the location of every flower in their territory and how long it takes to fill again with nectar. Well sure, their lives depend on this information…no wonder they have the largest brain per body size than any other bird. But turns out they aren’t just feeding themselves! Since they lay eggs several times a year, they are feeding the chicks constantly too. And that must be why hummingbirds have the largest heart by body size than all other animals. Big heart, to feed others…be like the hummingbird!
