#RAKFriday19 – November 29, 2019, The Antidote to Black Friday Madness
Random Acts of Kindness! Ring in the holidays with generous, spontaneous kindness – not chaotic consuming and spending on Black Friday! Here are some super-simple but mind-blowing ideas to be INTENTIONAL with your giving RAK:
- Smile at 10 strangers.
- Surprise a retail cashier with a lottery ticket.
- Let someone in front of you in line.
- Place $5 in an envelope. Randomly hand it to someone and include a note inside that says, “Happy #RAKFriday! Use this $5 for yourself or, pass it on as an act of kindness for someone else”
- Pass out candy canes to strangers.
We DARE you not to grin when the GIVEE looks surprised and happy! Be a RAKtivist like our Live Yes, And correspondent, Travis Thomas. He has some more ideas right here:
Giving Tuesday – December 3, 2019, A Global Generosity Movement
GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities on December 3, 2019 and every day. It was created in 2012 as a simple idea: Focus ONE DAY to encourage people to do good for someone or something else. One of the best ways to get involved is in your own community. Go to the directory on www.GivingTuesday.org to find organizations, events, and ways to give back, right in your own backyard!

Is it a tribute, a movie – or a welcome reminder that You. Are. Precious.
Movie critic Peter Rainer describes the potential to have a transformative experience during “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” featuring Tom Hanks as Mr. Rogers. The aura may even last after the closing credits…and that’s ok.
