To kick off National Women’s History Month this year, each member of the US Women’s National Soccer Team selected the name of a woman who inspired them and wore that name on the back of their jersey.

What a great idea, we thought! So we asked our readers to do the same thing: “In the her-story of your life, who has always had your back – Mom, BFF, Teacher, Activist, Author?  We will make a jersey for our Wall of Fame.”

Here it is – 50 jerseys with the names of influential women who have inspired, encouraged and nudged the people who nominated them to be better than they thought they could be. These are the women who are presently making history in everyday lives around them!
