World Central Kitchen uses the power of food to heal communities and strengthen economies through times of crisis and beyond. A not-for-profit non-governmental organization it is devoted to providing meals in the wake of natural disasters. Founded in 2010 by celebrity chef José Andrés, the organization began when it prepared food in Haiti following its devastating earthquake.
